about Me
MissioN
My mission is to write down all of the thoughts in my head, apply some philosophical rigor to it, and see if it’s grounded and readable or if I’m just slowly losing it.
I’ll delve into the complexities of relationships—from the bonds of marriage and fatherhood to the intersections of religion, science, and self-discovery. Hopefully, I’ll be able to weave all of the thoughts and connections together (hence the blog’s name: a Peculiar Thread). I’ll also share some cool insight, tips, and resources I’ve gained as a lifelong language learner.
Background
Born and raised in Northeast Pennsylvania, I have a deep affinity for beautiful Blue Ridge mountains views, old barns, and the countryside. After traveling extensively and living in South Korea, California, and Washington DC, I made Waverly PA my home with my wife and two children.
I served honorably in the United States Air Force for 13 years; the first six years as an aircraft mechanic on the F-16, the next seven as a Persian linguist.
